Inn and adjoining house now part of inn. Inn probably late
C17/early C18, adjoining house slightly later, both restored
probably early C20. Random coursed rubble stone, with quoins to
inn on left, stone slate roof, stone end stacks, partly external on
left. Staggered single ranges, with brick extension to rear of
house. Two storeys. Inn to left, 4 windows, 3 to original section
and one at higher level in additional section slightly canted back
from main line of wall, all 2-light stone mullions iii flush stone
frames with leaded metal casements. Ground floor altered to left
with 5-light stone mullion below plat band, 2-light window to right
as on first floor, and nearly central door of C20. House set back
has 3 windows, one 3-light and two 2-light in same style as left
hand range. Ground floor has 2-light stone mullion with square
hoodmould to right of central glazed C20 door with timber lintel
and double full-length windows of C20 to left of door.
