Large fret.ached cottage. Small roadside range of late C17 enlarged to rear in 2
stages, probably early C18 and late C20. Coursed rubble stone with alternating
flush quoins, stone slate roof, stone end stacks. l-shape range of varying
heights, mainly 2 storeys. Roadside frontage has one coped gable to right with
kneelers at different heights and remains of finial. Blocked single light with
straight dripmould at top of gable, 2-light stone mullion with square hoodmound
on first floor and 3-light on ground floor. Two-light to mullion to left on
first floor, 3-light with square hoodmould below and single light in center
with straight dripmould. Rear has original blocked doorway with quoins, and
mostly 2-light casements with timber lintels. Middle range facing into angle
has all 2-light stone mullions with square hoodmoulds and small gabled dormer
C20 Wing- has 2-light stone mullions without hoodmoulds.
