II

Detached house. Early C19. Ashlar facade, otherwise coursed
squared and dressed limestone, roof not visible presumed stone
slate, rectangular main body with central porch and stables at
right gable end. Two storeys. Symmetrical, 3-windowed facade.
Large 12-pane sashes to ground floor with slatted shutters.
Central portico with square paired Doric columns at front and heavy
entablature. Band between ground and first floor. French casement
with Gothic glazing bars flanked by pilasters above porch, small
12-pane sashes either side. Doric pilasters through full height at
each corner. Band above first floor windows. Parapet with moulded
cornice. Polite facade continued right in front of 2 storey lean-
to stable-block with access from right. Projecting enclosed first
floor water tank supported by fluted columns at rear.
