Detached house. Late C16-early C17 and mid C17. Coursed squared
and dressed limestone, concrete tile and stone slate roof, stone
stacks. Rectangular main body with mid C17 wing projecting
forwards slightly at left-hand end. Main body on right; 2 storeys
with 2-light stilted-headed stone-mullioned windows with carved
spandrels and 2, 3 and 4-light hollow-chamfered stone-mullioned
windows with stopped hoods. C20 door with strap hinges within deep
flat-chamfered basket-headed surround with imposts. Double glazed
door through projecting chimney stack in right gable-end. Mid C17
block projects forwards on left; 2½ storeys with Cotswold dormers
facing north and west respectively. Two and 3-light stone-
mullioned casements with stepped mouldings to mullions and stopped
hoods. Three-light windows with transoms inserted into gable at
rear.
Interior: 'Tudor'-arched fireplace (14m wide) with moulded surround
to form ground floor hall of late C16-early C17 block. Square-
panelled timber-framed partitions within both parts of house. Two
'Tudor'-arched fireplaces in mid C17 part.
