Water Supply
II

Surround to village water supply. Inscription on unravelled stone
scroll at back of recess 'THE GIFT/OF/ANNE ROGERS MORRIS/1870'.
Red sandstone and limestone. Rectangular plan with semi-circular
recess. Round-headed arched recess with vermiculated sandstone
forming archway. Two red sandstone piers with cushion capitals
either side of recess. Cast iron lion's head with tap within
niche. Bat-like winged beast's head above inscription plaque.
Moulded capping to rectangular surround brick standing in front
with walls, formerly with cast iron railing curving in towards
recess.
