Detached house. Early-mid C17 with late C19 early C20 additions.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof with stone
stacks. C19 courtyard; coursed squared and dressed limestone and
painted brick with slate roof. Early-mid C17 main body rectangular
in plan with single gabled bay to match at left gable end. C20
extensions at rear. Main body; 2 storeys, triple gabled front,
two righthand gables with blind double chamfered single-lights.
Two and 3-light flat-chamfered stone-mullioned windows with stopped
hoods to first floor. Two tall 3-light stone-mullioned casements
with continuous hoodmould lighting possible former Court room
ground floor right. Canted bay window with stone mullions and
transom towards left. Leaded panes to all windows. C20 four-
panelled front door within tall narrow stilted-headed surround
right of canted bay. C19 stone hood supported on moulded consoles
over door. Hall light over window. Late C19-early C20 extension
rear left in Cotswold style with small yard flanked by single
storey outbuildings at rear. Slightly stepped gable end with roll-
cross saddles to main body. Central gable with square finial with
scratched sundial at front.
Interior; intersecting beams with moulded stops within possible
former Court room. Original fireplace with 'Tudor'-arched surround
and keystone in same room.
