Barn and open-fronted store. Late C18-early C19. Coursed squared
limestone rubble, concrete tile roof, stone slate roofing. Barns
divided into two parts. Projecting porches in opposition from
north and south walls towards east end. Stone steps against wall
of C19 lean-to, up to loft in roof space of south porch. 'Tudor'-
arched doorway in west wall of south porch, hipped projecting
canopy on north side of barn at west end. Open-fronted store at
east gable end. C20 lean-tos on south of both parts and
corrugated iron garage not of special interest. Ventilation slits
to both parts. Flat gable end coping, ball finials formerly at
apex of each gable, one remaining at apex of south porch.
Weathervane at apex of east end. Roll-cross saddle at gable end of
open-fronted store.
Interiors; each part comprises 4-bays with original roof trusses
with collar and tie beams and double through tie purlins. Pitching
window in dividing wall between the two parts implying former
presence of loft at east end.
