2/92 The Vicarage
II

Vicarage. Built c1860 almost entirely at the expense of Rev Edward
Ellerton. Ashlar, stone slate roof, stone stacks. Rectangular
plan with single storey extension left. Two storeys and attic lit
by two weather-boarded roof dormers each with single light
casements with pointed heads and glazing bars, either side of
almost central forward-facing steeply pitched gable, also with
single light with pointed head. Three-windowed facade; mostly
stone-mullioned cross windows with glazing bars, 3-light stone-
mullioned window lower right, marginal glazing bars to ground floor
windows. Central C19 plank door within 'Tudor'-arched moulded
surround, string between ground and first floors.
