5/110 Shepherd's Cottage

Detached cottage. Probably built c1867, about the same time as The
Gables (q.v.). Random limestone rubble with dressed quoins,
concrete tile roof, stone stacks. Rectangular plan. 1½ storeys
with central projecting 1½ storey porch with C19 plank door within
segmental-pointed surround left of centre, single trefoil-headed
light to first floor, 4-light stone-mullioned window left of
forward facing gable, canted back to facade on left. Two-light
stone-mullioned casement right of projecting porch with half dormer
lit by similar light above. All casements with leaded panes.
Slightly stepped gable end coping with roll saddles, gable end
stacks. Exterior as built and of a picturesque and an unusual
composition. Interior not inspected.
