SP 91 NE WITHINGTON -

4/155 Lower Hilcot Farmhouse
II

Former farmhouse, now house. Late C17-early C18 and C19. Coursed
squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, C20 stone stacks.
Main body; rectangular in plan with cross gable at left-hand end.
C19 extension runs forwards from cross gable. Main body; 2
storeys and attic lit by C20 hipped, slate hung roof dormer. One
single-light and one 2-light C20 casement to first floor, right of
cross gable. Front door off-centre left. C19 extension; 1½
storeys with C20 gabled 2-light half dormer. Gable end stacks to
main body.
Interior: Large open fireplace with bressumer, stone fireplace
with flat-chamfered surround and moulded mantel. Curved principal
rafters with close-studded infill in roof space.
