of Halewell Close
GV II

Former wash-house. Late C18-early C19. Random squared and
dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar stack. Single unit
rectangular plan. Single storey and attic. Plank door with
fillets at south gable end approached by 4 stone steps, single
light towards apex of gable. Single light casement with timber
lintel in east wall, 2-light casement with stone-mullion and timber
lintel in west. Gable end stack with moulded capping.
Interior; open fireplace with curved bressumer. Upper floor
inserted C20. Formerly part of a larger complex of buildings west
of Halewell Close (q.v.).
