GV II
Large detached house. Mid C19. Coursed rubble stone with flush
quoins, stone slate roof, stone stacks with offset and grouped
diagonally set square flues with moulded cornice, external to ends
and centre ridge stack. Double range with additional rear wing to
east and single-storey wing to west, 2 storeys and attic. Four
windows, 2-light stone mullion and transom casements with arched
lights and square hoodmould. Ground floor has two large canted
bays with long stone mullion and transoms, arched lights and hipped
roofs. Central 2-storey small gabled projecting wing with 2-light
stone mullion with square hoodmould over long 2-light stone mullion
and transom. Two small gabled dormers with decorative
bargeboards. Tudor-arched plank door on left hand return under
canopy linked to single-storey wing.
