Farmhouse, now private detached house. C17. Coursed rubble stone,
with large flush quoins to main section of house, stone slate roof,
tall ashlar end stack to left with offset and moulded cornice, and
large partly rendered stone ridge stack to rear wing. L-plan.
Single front range of 2 storeys and attic, with Long rear wing of
single storey and attic, and large catslide lean-to forming part of
rear wing against main range. Front to south-west has 3-light
stone mullion with square hoodmould to left and 2-light to right.
Ground floor has 2-light to right and large C20 glazed double doors
to left with new square hoodmould. Left-hand return has 2 single
stone-framed lights to rear lighting surviving wooden newel stair.
Right-hand return of main range has 2-light stone mullion with
square hoodmould to attic and first floor, and long rear wing has 3
small gabled dormers with paired casements, and scattered door and
window openings to ground floor with timber lintels. North end of
this wing has projecting semi-circular bread oven. One 2-light
stone mullion to rear of house above lean-to. Large timber
bressumer fireplace below end stone stack and also below rear ridge
stack. Large unchamfered beams to main room in house across ground
floor of main range.
