Boxwell Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. Mid-late C18. Random rubble limestone; stone slate roof.
Probably 6-bay barn with central porch on south side only. South
side: porch with hipped roof and small doorway having concrete
lintel with stone relieving arch over; small central pitching hole
above; main doorway now with horizontal plank infilling. Lean-to
to each side of porch, that on left extended forward with
corrugated-iron roof. East end: gabled with 2 slit vents; small
pigeon hole with perch in gable. West end: gabled with attached
single-storey outbuilding. North side: slit vents either side of
central doorway, now with C20 metal sliding doors. Interior not
inspected. Forms part of group with farmhouse and barn to north
west (q.v.).
