11/33 No 27 Ampney Crucis (Cobbler
Cottage, formerly listed on road
to Dudley Farm)


Formerly 2 cottages, now one house. Late C17/early C18. Rubble
stone with alternating flush quoins, stone slate roof, brick end
stacks. Single range with rear outshut, 2 storeys with attic in
gable ends. Small hipped single-storey extension to right with
tile roof, with additional C20 extension behind not of special
interest. Three windows, 2-light stone mullion and transoms with
leaded casements, centre window blind. Ground floor originally 2-
light similar to left and 3-light to right now with mullions and
transoms removed and wood casements inserted. Originally 2 doors
in centre, adjoining wth chamfered stone surrounds and relieving
arch over. Left hand door blocked, 3 steps up to plank door to
right with concrete lintel.
