13/120 Town Bridge


Road bridge carrying A417 over River Coln. Site of bridge since
late C12, this bridge probably C18. Ashlar. Two round arches with
even stone voussoirs and single pointed breakwater. Plat band at
base of parapet wall. Flat-coped parapet wall approx. lm high,
square end piers at west end. East end joins wall of Fairford
House (q.v.) on north side, and finishes at end of plat band on
south side.
