SU 19 NW DOWN AMPNEY -

9/96 Nos 66 and 67 Castle Hill Farm

Pair of semi-detached farm cottages. Mid C19. Coursed rubble
stone, stone slate roof, central ridge stack with grouped flues.
Central range of single storey and attic with lower porch wings to
each side, also single storey and attic, and rear wing in centre
partly with concrete tile roof. Two small gables to south, each
with paired original iron lattice casements and splayed stone
voussoirs. Same on ground floor. Porches to each side have
shallow chamfered Tudor archway with plank doors. Although some
concrete tiles have been used to the rear, this modest pair is
virtually complete as built.
