NAUNTON VILLAGE STREET
Barn 15 yards north of
25.8.60 Longford House
Cotswold barn. Probably late C18. Rubble with Cotswold stone roofs, coped
verges, saddlestone to west. 5 bays with central hipped porch, now blocked and
with 1st floor window, lean-to on west side. Projecting gabled projecting wing
to south east had no roof covering at time of resurvey (1982). Interior: 2 floors,
upper one collapsing at time of resurvey. Lower stable extension to right with
2 doors, partly tin-roofed. Lower wagon-house to west also rubble with stone
slate roof, hipped out to west forming weather protection to open end; 2 bays, the
ties cut away, later dropped beam for floor to front.
