Farmhouse, attached barn and outbuilding. House; mid C17 and
late C18-early C19. Barn probably late C18, outbuilding C19.
Farmhouse; C17 core limestone rubble, facade refaced in ashlar
late C18-early C19. Late C18-early C19 extensions ashlar, incised
render on right-hand gable ends. Stone slate and concrete tile
roofing, ashlar stacks. Barn and attached outbuilding limestone
rubble, asbestos tile roof to barn, corrugated iron roof to
outbuilding. Plan; single bay C17 core at centre of domestic
range, single bay late C18-early C19 extensions to each gable end.
Extension at right gable end breaks forwards from main facade
for one bay. Barn and outbuilding successively at left gable end.
Lean-to greenhouse in front of main body not of special interest.
House facade; 2 storeys and attic lit by 2-light roof dormer.
C20 canted bay at front of right-hand extension, other windows 12-
pane sashes with horns. Band between ground and first floor
windows. Two 2-light stone-mullioned casements one with hood at
rear of C17 core. Part-glazed C20 door to late C18-early C19
porch with glazed roof left of projecting bay at front. Parallel
gabled roof to late C18-early C19 extension right of early core
with flat coping to gable ends. Gable end and axial stacks (one
twin) some with moulded cappings. Barn; central projecting gabled
porch with lean-to left. Double doors to porch. Three segmental-
headed doorways to outbuildings left. House interior; vaulted
stone cellar (not accessible). Barn interior; 3 bays with simple
collar and tie beam trusses.
