HAZLETON SALPERTON VILLAGE

Formerly 2 cottages, now one. Late C17-mid C18 and C20. Limestone
rubble, dressed quoins, stone slate roof, one stack rendered, one
obscured by creeper. Long rectangular plan, stepped down slope
with main C20 extension at left end. Lower cottage; 2 storeys
with single storey C20 extension at rear. Two-light, double-
chamfered, stone-mullioned casements at front, 2-light steel
casement upper right; C20 plank door off-centre left with timber
lintel. Cottage at higher level; 1½ storeys, small half dormers
each with 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements.
Three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with stopped
hood lighting ground floor. C20 studded door lower right (probably
not an original opening). Gable end of C20 extension far left with
2 and 3-light stone-mullioned casements and glazed door. All
windows with leaded panes.
