BLEDINGTON CHURCH ROAD
12/45 Manor Farm
(formerly listed as Manor Farmhouse
Detached house. C17-early C18 with late C19-early C20 and mid C20
extensions. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, limestone slate
roof, ashlar stacks. 'T' shaped early core with later C18
extension onto gable end. Late C19-early C20 extension right of
main body, by Guy Dawber, late C20 extension at rear of latter.
Both extensions in Cotswold style. 2 storeys and attic lit by
single C20 two-light roof dormer. 3-windowed, 3-light, double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to first
floor; 2 and 3-light metal casements to ground floor, tall 2-light
C20 cross-mullioned stair light with stopped hood far right. All
windows with leaded panes. 2-light casement inserted in place of
former central doorway, door and door surround reused in late C19-
C20 extension on right and comprises a studded plank door with
decorative hinges within roll-moulded Tudor-arched surround with
raised, carved spandrels, thin pilasters to either side supporting
rectangular pediment. Saddleback gable-end coping with moulded
kneelers. Right gable-end stack and central twin stack.
