of the Church of St. Leonard
GV II
Chest tomb to Christopher Rose and his son. Mid C18. Limestone on
limestone standing. Plinth with moulded capping. Sunken oval
inscription panel on south side flanked by finely carved
rectangular panels with foliate decoration, similar inscription
panel on north side. Inscription at west end to Christopher Rose,
son of Christopher Rose, sunken rectangular panel with face of
winged cherub at top. Monogram of the initials C.R. intertwined
with faces of 2 winged cherubs in upper corners at east end.
