Detached house. Dated 1720 on rainwater heads, additions and
restoration by Sir Guy Dawber 1890. Rainwater head dated and
initialled RCF 1890 at left end. Coursed squared and dressed
limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar stacks. Rectangular main body
with C19 extension at rear forming almost rectangular plan. 2
storeys and attic lit by 3 full dormers with double-chamfered,
stone-mullioned cross windows with stopped hoods and leaded panes.
7-windowed facade lit by similar larger windows with continuous
drip moulds over. Two 12-pane sashes to ground floor lower right.
Central C19 panelled door with moulded surround and 'Tudor'-arched
stone canopy on moulded stone brackets. C19 extensions at rear in
similar style. Roll-moulded gable-end coping. Twin gable-end
stacks.
Interior restored late C19. Late C19 Jacobean style staircase.
