Detached house. Late C17, enlarged in C20. Coursed stone with
quoins, roughcast-faced on north gable end, swept stone slate roof
with coved stone eaves, ashlar end stacks with paired diagonally
set ashlar flues with moulded cornice. Original range of L-plan, 2
storeys and attic, with additional wing in similar style added
across rear probably in early C20, forming U-plan. Small single-
storey C19 kitchen wing added to left of main range. Five windows,
2-light leaded and chamfered stone mullion and transoms, four to
ground floor with continuous dripmould and relieving arches above
each. Central pulvinated stone doorcase with later vertical
battened door. Single central hipped dormer with two leaded
casements. Right hand return has four similar windows to each
floor, and 3 dormers on rear range. To rear of C19 kitchen wing is
an iron water pump and handle with small horseshoe shaped stone
trough still in situ. Interior not inspected but may be of
interest.
