9/66 Manor Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17, extended in C18. Rubble stone with flush quoins,
hipped and sprocketed stone slate roof with ball finials and
moulded fascia, large partly stepped external stone stack with
offsets to left hand return and stone ridge stack. Large square
range of 2 storeys and attic with rear 2-storey range to right
probably of C18 and return single-storey service or agricultural
range forming 3-sided courtyard to rear of house. Five windows, 2-
light ovolo-moulded stone mullion and transoms with plain
casements, four to ground floor, both with continuous dripmoulds.
Central stone doorcase with pulvinated surround, large flat hood
on curved brackets with small 2-light stone window over with
triangular pediment above lift in dripmould. Six-panel door, top 4
glazed, lower 2 flush. Similar fenestration to returns, those on
left hand return with square hoodmoulds, with some blocked lights
and some possibly renewals of C19, one hipped dormer with leaded
casements and ball finial to right hand return and 2 to rear.
Small added room on left hand return, 2 storey corner inset at rear
probably of C20. One large 3-light mullion and transom to rear.
Interior not accessible but may be of interest.
