EASTINGTON (south side), Northleach
8/78 Old Timbers

House at end of row. C16. Coursed squared and dressed limestone,
close-studded timber-framed cross wing with pebble-dashed infill.
Concrete tile roof, C20 stone stack. 'L'-shaped plan with jettied
cross wing. C20 extension at rear not of special interest. Two-
windowed facade with jettied forward facing gable left. Traces of
several blocked openings within stonework of front wall. Two C20
wood casements with glazing bars to ground floor. Moulded stone
resembling image bracket (probably reused) left of right-hand
window. Similar casement to jettied gable. Moulded stone
resembling an image bracket left of window lighting right-hand bay.
Gable-end stack.
Interior; exposed tie beams with deep flat-chamfers. Open
fireplace with curved bressumer beam. Stone corbels from wall
dividing Old Timbers from The Old Coach House (q.v.). Stone spiral
staircase (window lighting stair inserted C20). Remains of curved
windbracing within roof.
