2/169 Sheafhouse

Stables. Dated 1831 on diamond-shaped plaque in gable ends.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roof. Square
courtyard plan with entrance on south. Small rectangular windows
without glazing and stable doors facing into courtyard. Two 5-bay
open-fronted stores divided by square stone piers with chamfered
corners with runout stops. Interior; original roof trusses with
curving collar and tie beams. Double butt purlins, possibly
original partitions between stalls.
