Open-fronted store with loft and stables with lofts over. Late
C18-early C19. Single-storey stables C19. Coursed squared and
dressed limestone. Stone slate roof. Long rectangular plan with
stables in form of courtyard at south gable end. Open-fronted
store at north end of range. Four open bays to ground floor
divided by stone-built square piers on stone-built plinths. Two
stone-mullioned casements to first floor. Double-width opening
with timber lintel to left. Stone steps with brick treads up
gable end. Stables left with extension running forwards left with
plank pitching door. Plank door to ground floor of main body.
Two-light stone-mullioned casement to right and to first floor.
Steps up to plank door to right. Single-storey stables to left.
Flat coping at gable ends of late C18-early C19 open fronted store
and stables. Interiors not inspected. (Property of the National
Trust).
