farm buildings

Barn and open-fronted outbuildings. Late C18. Coursed squared and
dressed limestone with dressed quoins. Stone slate roof.
Rectangular plan to barn with a projecting porch off-centre right
on the south side, flanked by lean-to extensions. Open-fronted
store runs forwards from lean-to left of porch. Loose box and
open-fronted store at the gable end of the lean-to to the right of
the porch. Central 2-storey gabled porch on the south side with an
unglazed 2-light window lighting the gable. Double doorway and
pitching window in the wall opposite. Pitching window on the west
gable end. Four-bay open-fronted store with timber uprights
dividing the bays, projects forwards to the left of the projecting
porch. Loose box and 4-bay open-fronted store to the right also
with timber uprights runs away to the right.
Interior; 4 bays with the original roof trusses with tie beams and
raking struts. Double staggered purlins.
Considerable loss of roof slating to main barn (June 1986).
