Bridge over River Windrush on boundary of parishes of Great
Rissington, Clapton-on-the Hill and Sherborne C.P's. (q.v.).
Probably built c1806. Coursed squared and dressed limestone.
Bridge parapet curves forward either side of single 4-centred
arched span with moulded hood. Triangular buttresses on bridge
abutment with weathered copings. Parapet with saddleback coping
terminates in square piers with stepped pyramidal cappings. Very
similar in style to bridge south-west of Bourton-on-the-Water on
boundary of the civil parishes of Cold Aston, Bourton-on-the-Water
and Lower Slaughter (q.v.).
