Former farmhouse, now house. Mid C17 extended mid-late C18 and
extended C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone and sandstone.
Stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. Mid C17, rectangular in plan
with a C19 lean-to extension at the rear of the C18 range at the
left gable end, extension at both gable ends of the latter. The
whole now forms a basically 'L'-shaped plan. C17 range; 2 storeys
and attic lit by two 2-light eaves dormers. Ground and first floor
lit by double-chamfered 2, 3 and 4-light stone-mullioned casements,
some with hollow-moulded mullions. All casements with stopped
hoods and leaded panes or glazing bars. 1 1/2 storey extension
projects forwards left and has a small 2-light hollow-chamfered
stone-mullioned casement in the gable end at first floor level.
C18 range; 2 storey, symmetrical, 3-windowed garden front lit by
12-pane sashes with dressed stone surrounds and keystones at first
floor level. Two canted bays also lit by sash windows to the
ground floor. Central double part-glazed C20 door, flat stone
canopy supported on moulded stone brackets. Two-storey single-bay
extension to the right gable end with two-light casements to the
ground and first floors. The upper casement is set within the
blocking of a former doorway suggesting that the first floor of the
extension may once have functioned as some form of store. Singe-
storey extension to the left gable end with a 3-light metal
casement with leaded panes. Part-glazed C20 door to the right.
Concrete lintels over the window and the doorway. Axial and gable-
end stacks with cappings and skirtings. Interior not inspected.
