GREAT RISSINGTON RECTORY LANE

GV II
Large detached house. Late C18. Coursed squared and roughly
dressed limestone. Concrete tile roof with ashlar stacks.
Rectangular plan to main body with a possibly contemporary
extension at right angles rear left. Main body 2 storeys with a
symmetrical 1:1:1-windowed facade, with gablet to the central bay
which projects forwards slightly. All windows large 16-pane
sashes with projecting dressed stone surrounds with keystones. Two
segmental stone steps up to a central C20 part-glazed door with
glazing bars, also with dressed stone surrounds and a keystone.
Metal casements and French doors all with glazing bars in the right
gable end. Wing at rear; two storeys and attic lit by two dressed
stone dormers from the eaves. Two-light metal casements to both
dormers. Small 16-pane sash windows within dressed stone surrounds
to the ground and first floors. Flat coping with moulded kneelers
to the main body and the extension to the rear. Gable-end stacks
with cappings and skirtings. Interior not inspected.
