Detached house (now divided into two). Dated and initialled '17
W F I 03' on lintel over the right-hand doorway, extended mid-late
C18-C19 and C20 extension. Coursed squared and dressed limestone
with dressed stone quoins. Stone slate roof with ashlar stacks.
Concrete tile roofing to C20 extensions. Rectangular plan to main
body with mid-late C18-C19 extension and lean-to to coal store at
the right gable end. C20 extensions at rear, not of special
interest. Main body; three-windowed facade lit by 2 and 3-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements. Stopped hoods to the
windows on the ground floor. All casements with leaded panes. Two
C19 plank doors. Flat-chamfered dressed stone surround with dated
lintel to the right-hand door. Dressed stone surround with a
timber lintel to the left-hand door. Both doorways have flat stone
canopies with moulded margins and moulded brackets. Later
extension to the right of the main body; 1 1/2 storeys. Single 2-
light C20 half dormer, 3-light C20 stone-mullioned casement to the
ground floor. Lean-to porch with C19 plank door to the left.
Single stone slab forms porch roof. Gable-end stacks to the main
body both with flat-chamfered skirtings, one with a moulded
capping. Gable-end stack to the extension to the right. Interior
not inspected.
