House. Late C17-early C18, extended late C18-early C19. Main
body ashlar, extension coursed squared and roughly dressed
limestone. Stone slate roofing at front, concrete tile at rear,
ashlar stacks. Rectangular main body with central stairs
projection at rear. C19 extension at right angles to main body
rear right. Lean-to extension rear left. Late C18-early C19
extension to right of main body.
Main body; flat-chamfered plinth, 2 storeys and attic with a
single 2-light roof dormer. Four-windowed facade at front and
single 2-light dormer with raking roof at the rear. Two-light
double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements with moulded hoods, one
single-light window of the same design. C19 plank door with
fillets lower right within a basket-headed surround with a
keystone, open pediment supported on moulded stone brackets over,
2½ storey stairs projection at the rear with a 2-light hollow-
chamfered stone-mullioned casements to the stairs projection.
Three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement to the single-
storey lean-to extension to the right. Extension to the right of
the main body: two storeys, two windows to the first floor, four
windows to the ground floor. Two, 3 and 4-light casements.
Concrete lintel with keystone to the 4-light casement. Small fire
window with timber lintel to the right. All windows metal
casements with horizontal glazing bars. Single-storey lean-to to
the right of the stairs projection at the rear of the main body
with (possibly reused) 3-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned
window. Gabled C19 extension projects forwards to the left of the
stairs projection. Roof of main body; flat coping, gable-end and
axial stacks. Both stacks with moulded cappings. Axial stack
with moulded capping to the late C18-early C19 extension.
Interior; some late C17 three-panelled doors. Late C17-early C18
dog leg staircase with turned balusters. At least one open
fireplace with a bressumer beam and one fireplace with a dressed
rectangular surround. Spine beam to ground floor.
