Bale tomb to Katharine Humphries, wife of Richard Humphries, died
1746. Limestone on stone standing formerly with iron railing on a
low plinth. Moulded plinth. Inscription within a cartouche-like
surround on the north side flanked by margin panels with floral
bosses and hanging bellflower. Similar but unused inscription
plaque on the opposite side. Cartouche-like inscription plaques
at either end. That on the west end has the initials 'K. H. 1746'
and a winged angel's head above. Quarter balusters at the corners
of the tomb. Thick moulded capping with bale with gadrooned
decoration above.
