GV II
Former school and school house. Built 1848. Orange-coloured
coursed squared and dressed limestone with cream-coloured quoins.
Stone slate and artificial stone slate roofing with stone ridge
tiling and brick stacks. 'L'-shaped plan with a single-storey
extension to the front and rear right. Gable end projects
forwards towards the road. Two-light stone-mullioned casements
with stopped hoods to the ground floor. Single-light casements
with dressed stone surrounds to the gable end of the former porch
to the left of the entrance. Single and 2-light stone-mullioned
casements with stopped hoods to the first floor of the school
house. Single 2-light dormer over school part. Double glazed
door with glazing bars within a Tudor-arched surround with carved
spandrels and a stopped hood between the school house and the
former entrance porch (with blocked door in the right-hand return).
Flat coped gables. Roll-moulded ridge tiling. Gable-end stacks.
Interior not inspected.
