Porter's Farmhouse
GV II
Barn. Late C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone with
dressed stone quoins. Concrete tile roof. Rectangular plan with
through way for wagons at the south gable end. C20 agricultural
buildings at rear not of special interest. Double doors on
runners to the right, similar width doorway in the wall opposite.
Small ventilation slits in the side walls and towards the apex of
the gable ends. Tall pitching window facing the through way.
Interior; 4 bays (including through way) with the original collar
and tie beams with curved collars and double butt purlins. This
building represents an unusual plan type.
