6/13 Briarfurlong


Detached cottage. Mid C18. Limestone rubble with a stone slate
roof and coursed squared and dressed stone stacks. Rectangular
plan extended by one bay to the left C20. C20 extension at rear
not of special interest. 1 1/2 storey, 3-windowed facade. One 2-
light stone-mullioned window and two 2-light wooden casements. C20
French doors with horizontal glazing bars off-centre right. Three
2-light slate-hung eaves dormers. Gable-end and axial stacks.
Linear buttressing to the rear wall.
Interior; beams with runout and ogee stops; original roof
trusses; open fireplace with bressumer beam.
