II

Detached cottage. C17. Limestone rubble; stone slate and
concrete tile roofing ashlar stacks. Rectangular one-up-one-down
plan. C19 outbuilding linked via corridor to main body early C20,
not of special interest. 1 1/2 storeys with a 3-light double-
chamfered stone-mullioned casement to the south-east facing gable
end. C19 plank door within a C20 part-glazed porch to the right.
C19 two-light casement to the gable. Two and 3-light wooden
casements to the south-west elevation. Single gable-end stack.
Interior not inspected. This cottage represents a rare survival of
a relatively unextended plan form.
