CHEDWORTH CHEDWORTH VILLAGE

Detached house. Late C18 with C19 extension. Random roughly
squared limestone; stone slate roof; ashlar stacks (one restored
C20). Rectangular main body with gable end to road and C19
extensions on the north. Main body: 1 1/2 storeys with
basement/cellar. C19 extension: 1 1/2 storeys. Entrance (south)
front: double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood
to the ground floor. Gabled C19 ashlar-built porch with lancet
windows in the sides and C20 plank door off-centre right. Three-
light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement to rebuilt gablet
above. Single-light casement with flat-chamfered surrounds to
roadside front. Two 2-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned
casements and a plank door to cellar/basement to the gable end
facing away from the road. Three gablets to the east front of the
C19 range which is lit by single-light, 2 and 3-light stone-
mullioned casements, (some with hoods). Interior not inspected.
