GV II*

Chest tomb to Thomas Heines, died 1683. Limestone. Moulded
plinth. Sunken square inscription plaque with a moulded surround
on the north side; stylized 4-petal motifs to marginal panels;
sides of lyre-shaped ends decorated with stylized foliate motifs.
Sunken rectangular inscription plaque (without inscription) with
moulded margin on the south side; border comprising an intertwined
moulding interrupted by rosettes; marginal panels decorated with
small 4-petal motifs; sides of lyre-shaped ends with stylized
foliate decoration as on the north. Carved head in relief at
either end; heraldic shield with foliate decoration at the west
end; thick capping with moulded margin. This monument is
particularly richly decorated.
