Outbuilding. Drystone limestone rubble. Thatched solid twig roof
(see later). Curved plan. C20 concrete block wall with corrugated
iron roof on the north, not of special interest. Double-width
entrance on the north side; plank infill to the left of the
opening; low opening with C20 timber lintel to the right of the
double doorway to a projecting cast iron cage. The south side of
the building is open-fronted with timber uprights retaining their
bark. The roof comprises a solid mass of twigs above tie beam
level (the later comprising strong silver birch branches retaining
their bark) roofed with thatch. This building is particularly
unusual for its plan, roof construction and roofing material.
