1881 (dated). Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion. Ashlar. 2 storeys. 5 bays,
Pedimented central 3 bays, flanked by pilasters. Full entablature, balustrade
and crowning urns. Stringcourse above ground floor, and moulded acanthus stringcourse
at impost levels. Round arched windows with bar tracery on lst floor. Blind
arcade and round arched doors on ground floor, all with moulded voussoirs and
keystones. Polygonal apse on north side. End elevations pedimented, with acroteria.
Wall with ashlar piers, elaborate iron railings and gates.
Chapel established 1791: foundation stone of present building laid 1880 by Mr
Marling of Stanley Park (plaque).
School.Chapel,Manse, Cottage adjoining Chapel, and Cemetery Railings form a group.
