Tilsdown Cottage

Dwelling, formerly two. C17. Painted rubble, pantile roof. Long narrow block, two
ridge stacks, small C20 extension at back. Left half 1½ storey, right half 2 storeys,
various casements, including original 4-light mullioned casement ground floor, left of
entrance and modern 4-light casement over, but mainly 2-light. Modern door in heavy
moulded frame in right half, centrally between windows; blocked door, now window,
left, and small gabled dormer with modern 2-light casement. Modern casements in
original openings to gables and late C20 opening with doors to lean-to conservatory,
left gable.

Interior: large open fireplace with cropped bressumer, and bread oven, left of
entrance.
