Pigeonhouse Farmhouse

Dwelling, formerly farmhouse. Late C17 or early C18, but modernised, and with C20
casement window replacements in original openings. Good squared and coursed limestone
in large sizes, stone slate roof. L-plan plus projecting back wing, one bay extension
to main front, left; stone stacks, brick above ridges; entrance formerly to
cross-passage central main front, but now in internal angle of L. Two storeys and
attic 3-windowed, various 2 and 3-light casements, and in gable, right, 3 and 4-light
casements, all C20 replacements, but 2-light and 3-light stone mullioned casement in
return face of wing. Modern door and porch, and modern glazed loggia to former entry
position. Back elevation contains one 2-light and one 3-light stone mullioned
casements. Interior: solid oak newel stair approached through 'Tudor' door arch.
Roof structure in wing has chamfered and stopped collars.
