Knapp Farmhouse


Dwelling, formerly farmhouse. Early C18. Squared rubble, stone slate roof. L-plan
plus two wings at back, gable stack, left, and main stack off-centre left, on ridge;
both in stone. Two storeys and attics, 3-windowed, modern sashes, segmental heads to
ground floor, 2-light casements in gables to attic space. Late C20 door and porch.

Interior: various chamfered beams, collar and tie roof, open fire with bread oven,
left of entry. Deep wing at b ack formerly a barn. Property considerably modified in
lat C20.
