2/64 Grove Orchard


Dwelling. Possibly late C17. Rendered rubble, pantile roof. Small one-room up and
down cottage, with mid C20 extension to ground floor, left; possibly remnant of
larger building. Steep pitched roof, stack at ridge, far end. One storey and attic,
one-windowed, steel casement under wood lintols. Original entrance was near fire,
right side, to former cross passage; modern door in extension.

Interior: stone newel stair, left of large fire-opening, concealed at tme of survey,
and remains of bread oven. Walls c600 mm thick.
