Clingre Farmhouse

II


Farmhouse. C18. Marlstone rubble some later work in brick, concrete tile roof.
L-plan, with lean-to at back completing rectangular plan; large stone gable stack
left, north end, and smaller stack to return wing gable. Two storeys and attic,
3-windowed, 3-light casements under wood lintols, but central to ground floor C19
square bay, and one 2-light casement to attic in gable, right; modern glazed door and
porch right of square bay. Return, south front, two storeys and attic, 2-windowed, 3
light casements under segmental heads, right, and C19 hexagonal bay with slate roof
left. Left gable contains two loubred openings to attic. Interior contains some
simple chamfered beams and one C19 battened door.
