Joseph Hicks chest
tomb, 2.5 m north of
north porch entrance to
GV Church of St Cyr


Chest tomb. 1739. Limestone. Baroque style, cyma capping, cavetto base, on raised
plinth including also items B and C; enriched quater balusters, cartouches to short
ends and south side, latter flanked by grieving putti. To JOSEPH HICKS, 1739, not to
be confused with adjacent memorial to Joseph Hicks of 1728 (q.v.).
