Detached dwelling. Mid C19. Squared and coursed limestone, plain tile roof. A
Victorian villa with twin octangonal ashlar stacks, moulded cappings and plinths at
gables. 1½ storeys, 1+2-windowed; at ground floor, two paired sashes with central
bar stone mullion, and central small single sash; in small gables with decorative cut
bargeboards, grouped 1 and 2; sashes with central bar. All windows in flush stone
surrounds and with slight segmental heads. Off-centre, left, 6 vertical panel door
set deep in stone reveal under ridge canopy with stepped barge, on wood brackets.

This is a relatively untouched building holding a key position n a bend in this
principal artery of the village. Cellar reputed to predate main fabric, which may
have been built as a farmhouse.
